HelloFresh Lebanese Style Flatbread



Ingredients

(for 4 servings)

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cans of chickpeas
  • 400g lamb mince
  • 3tsp shawarma spice mix
  • 2tbsp tomato purée
  • 16g beef stock powder
  • 200ml water
  • 4 naan
  • Red wine vinegar
  • 2 heads of baby gem lettuce
  • 150g natural yogurt
  • 3tsp zahtar spice
  • 2tbsp olive oil

Procedure

Chickpeas

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C
  2. Peel and grate the garlic
  3. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then pop half o them in a bowl and mash them with a fork until broken up. 


Lamb

  1. Heat a frying pan on high heat
  2. Add the lamb mince and cook until browned (4-5 mins)
  3. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Reduce heat to medium
  5. Add the shawarma seasoning mix, garlic and tomato purée
  6. Stir and cook for 1-2 mins


Cook

  1. Add the water
  2. Add the mashed chickpeas
  3. Add the remaining whole chickpeas
  4. Add the beef stock powder
  5. Bring to a boil and allow to simmer for 4-5mins


Naans

  1. Put the naans on a baking tray and top each with equal servings of lamb mix
  2. Bake in the overn for 5-6 mins


Salad

  1. Add baby gem to a bowl
  2. Add vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper


Serve

Serve the flatbread on plates. Drizzle over the yogurt and sprinkle the Zahtar. Serve with the baby gem salad on the side.
